Move Out Checklist

Floors

Mop all Hard Surface Flooring

Vacuum All Carpet

Shampoo any Carpet that does not come clean with vacuuming. If pets were present in the home all carpets must be shampoed.

Walls & Ceilings

Remove all nails and screws - DO NOT FILL HOLES

Wipe off dirt and cobwebs

DO NOT PAINT

Clean Ceiling Fan blades, clean all light fixtures, replace any burnt out bulbs

Windows

Clean the interior side of all windows with window cleaner

Thoroughly clean window tracks

Remove any window coverings that were not provided by the Landlord

Kitchen

Wipe all cabinets inside & out, including pantries and shelves

Clean oven and stove top thoroughly

Clean refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and vent hood thoroughly

Carefully pull refrigerator straight out to avoid damaging the floor, clean behind and along sides of refrigerator

Clean sink(s) and all countertops, including backsplash

Bathroom(s)

Clean vanity inside and out

Scrub toilet inside and out

Scrub tub/shower and floors

Clean mirror with window cleaner

Additional Items

Remove all items from the property. Anything left behind you will be charged a disposal fee

Do NOT leave any furniture items in or around garbage bins. You MUST make your own arrangements with the garbage company to dispose of these items

Clean out any storage sheds, patio areas or garages completely. If you are responsible for yard care, make sure it is kept up until the last day of your lease

Make sure management has your forwarding address

Leave door, garage, mail or any other property keys that you have with management
